Thank you for your interest in the Delta Institute of Natural History!  I am sincerely appreciative for your time and investment.  Likewise, I need you to offer the same gratitude for my time, preparation, and materials used.

When registering for a class at the Delta Institute of Natural History, you are making a commitment to attend the event.  In many cases, financial costs have been incurred prior to you ever arriving for the class.  This is especially true of weekend (or longer) events where a chef has been hired to cater the event (food has been purchased and the chef has invoiced for a set number of people).  Therefore, I require deposits to hold a space in the class and deposits are not refundable.

The deposit schedule is:

Day-long event: $50.00

Weekend-long event: $150.00

Week-long event or private session: $250.00

To reserve a spot in a class, please contact me (see Contact page for details) to identify if space is still available.  You may submit a deposit by check (mailing address can be found here) or you can use the PayPal button below (note:  PayPal allows the use of a credit card and you do not need to have a PayPal account to place a deposit for an event).  I will supply details to you if you are interested in registering for a class.  Be sure to include the title of the class and the date of the class in the notes section offered by PayPal so that you are registered for the correct class.

Please specify which class you are registering for in the "instructions to merchant" section of the PayPayl checkout.

If you cannot attend a class you have registered for and provide ample notice (at least three weeks) your deposit can be transferred to another class at the Delta Institute or used for private instruction (if you prefer).  I will hold your deposit as a credit for up to three years.

Anyone attending classes here at the Delta Institute of Natural History will realize I limit class size to provide an optimal learning environment and to limit our impact when we visit wild places (both to the landscape itself and to others enjoying the landscape).  As a result, my classes usually fill quickly and some people wishing to participate aren't able to (at that time).  I encourage you to enroll as promptly as you are able to.  I do keep a waiting list in case of any cancellations.  Also, I try to work within everyone's budget and am willing to find ways to make classes here available to those that can't afford them.  This includes payment plans and work trades.
