Directions to the Delta Institute of Natural History

Address:  167 Thorne Mountain Road, Canton, ME  04221

From points south:  Drive north on Interstate 95 to the Auburn exit (Exit 75).  Turn left at the end of the ramp and drive north on Route 4.  Continue north on Route 4, through the city of Auburn (many traffic lights) for approximately 24.5 miles to a left turn onto Route 108 in the town of Livermore (Route 108 travels toward Rumford).  Drive approximately 5.5 miles to the village of Canton.  There is a blinking yellow light in the center of the town at the intersection of Route 140.  Continue ahead on Route 108 for 1.6 miles (begin measuring at blinking yellow light) to Thorne Mountain Road (on left), across from Pine Grove Cemetery.  The Delta Institute is located 0.75 miles from Route 108 on a long, gravel drive.  Stay to the right when you are faced with possible turns on the gravel drive.  The Delta Institute parking is in front of the gray home with solar panels.  See map below (yellow line shows route from Interstate 95 to the Delta Institute)
